The Death of Death

During our son’s year long battle with leukemia we hoped for the best while preparing for the worst. We lived life to the fullest, however that looked from day to day. But we also took the necessary time to do and say all that was necessary in the case that God called him home.

What Else Must I Do?

When a rich young man boldly walked up to Jesus and asked what he had to do to inherit eternal life, Jesus answered without hesitation. Jesus stated only God was good.

Jesus made the point of how we can do nothing to earn eternal life. Earning our way into heaven, like the rich young ruler was attempting to do, requires nothing less than perfection.

Eternity is Everything

They say that “timing is everything.” “Here today and gone tomorrow,” the benefits we enjoy today may not endure forever.

The people coming to Jesus were looking for healing. They wanted a better life – a healthier, happier existence. Who doesn’t?

Of course, Jesus does heal them, though his words deny somewhat his actions.

Wilting Away

According to the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters, there were 346 major natural disasters worldwide in 2015. More than 22,000 people died in these disasters and a staggering 98.6 million were affected in some way.

Natural disasters come in various forms including floods, landslides, heat waves, hurricanes, and earthquakes.
